Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations for the café within our luxury retail store. This role is essential in delivering consistently high-quality food that reflects the standards of our brand. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, cleanliness, and teamwork while contributing to a seamless, elevated guest experience.

What you will be doing

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards

• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and plating for every dish

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation always

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations strictly

• Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and stock rotation (FIFO)

• Participate in cleaning schedules and end-of-shift procedures

• Assist with prep work, inventory checks, and stock organization

• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and timely service

• Communicate clearly during service to support efficient order flow and minimize delays

• Use kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly

• Minimize food waste by following portion control and preparation guidelines

• Monitor food quality throughout service and flag any inconsistencies or issues proactively

• Support other kitchen sections as needed during peak service periods

• Adapt quickly to changing service demands while maintaining quality standards

What we are looking for?

• Previous experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen, premium café, or upscale restaurant preferred

• Basic culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage

• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices

• High attention to detail and quality control

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Calm, solution-oriented approach in fast-paced environments

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
