Sales Consultant
Job Purpose
Delivering exceptional customer service by engaging clients, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products and educating customers on the store concept. Supporting the store in achieving sales targets, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers warmly upon entry, engaging in conversation to understand their preferences, and creating a positive first impression.
- Actively listening to customer needs, asking relevant questions, and recommending tailored products and solutions to enhance their shopping experience.
- Guiding customers through the full in-store journey, from product discovery to fitting rooms and checkout, while delivering personalized clienteling interactions that encourage long-term relationships.
- Operating POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions, gift wrapping, returns, and exchanges, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitoring product availability, alerting management of low stock, and assisting in replenishment to maintain optimal product displays.
- Maintaining visual standards by ensuring displays, mannequins, and product arrangements align with brand guidelines and seasonal directives.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization on the shop floor, ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment for customers.
- Assisting in brand events, activations, and seasonal product launches by preparing the shop floor, engaging with customers, and promoting new collections.
Job Requirements
Education/Certification and Continued Education
High school diploma minimum, retail or sales training preferred
Years of Experience
1–2 years in a retail sales or customer-facing role
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrating the ability to deliver personalized, high-quality service and building strong client relationships.
- Developing strong familiarity with product categories, features, and benefits to provide customers with accurate and engaging recommendations.
- Applying effective cross-selling and upselling strategies to maximize sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Using clear, professional, and engaging communication with both customers and colleagues.
- Operating POS systems, CRM platforms, and handling transactions, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
- Managing multiple customer interactions while maintaining service quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintaining awareness of shop floor presentation and proactively ensuring displays meet brand standards.
- Working closely with colleagues to support shared goals and ensure seamless store operations.
- Communicating fluently in English and Arabic is required; additional languages such as French, Russian, or Mandarin are a strong plus to engage with a diverse luxury clientele.
