Join Us as a Data Engineer at Ounass:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer who will enable access to data through transforming it into a format that can be easily analyzed and who will not only make sure the data is accessible but also they will make sure that data quality is checked through validations and tests through automated processes.

This is a mid-level role, you are required to have 2-3 years previous experience in a Data Engineer position.

The role is BASED IN DUBAI - role is onsite hybrid. Remote working is not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owning end-to-end ETL pipeline.
• Developing & Improving ETL pipeline for finest quality through maintaining optimal design aiming at 0 production bugs.
• Improve the reliability of the data through implementing validation rules on both original data source and behavioral metrics.
• Build pipelines to acquire from new data sources to satisfy the need of data.
• Resolving problems in production by diagnosis and root cause analysis.
• Communicate efficiently with the wider team to understand the complex problems and provide insights to improve.
• Develop and manage processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2-3 years) of technology startup experience.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics
• Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Knowledge of AWS / GCP
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing & Data Structures
• Basic experience in Containerization and orchestration tools (Preferable Docker and Airflow)
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to convey rigorous technical concepts and considerations to non-experts.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects while meeting deadlines.
