The Planning team is responsible for the intelligence behind the inventory: forecasting demand, managing open-to-buy, analysing sales performance and partnering with the Buying Team to ensure the right product arrives in the right quantity, at the right time, to serve the right market. Across more than 1,200 brands and six GCC territories, that is a planning challenge of genuine complexity.
Pricing, margin management and markdown strategy sit within the team's remit too: decisions that determine not just what sells, but what it contributes. In luxury retail, where the integrity of a price point is as important as the product itself, those calls require both commercial precision and brand awareness in equal measure.
The team work across one of the most analytically demanding disciplines in retail, requiring commercial instinct, numerical rigour and the ability to anticipate market movement before it happens. Those drawn to that kind of precision will find the scale here unlike anywhere else in the region.
Alongside planning sits a Merchandise Operations function responsible for the physical and logistical flow of product through the business. From arrival and processing through to quality control, this team ensures that every item meets the Ounass standard before it reaches a customer. In luxury, the condition of a product when it arrives matters as much as the decision to buy it.
